Creative Director & Writer

I work at the intersection of story, space, and experience. I begin with something that grabs my attention—a moment, a contradiction, a turn of phrase—and build from there.

My work spans brand, stage, and screen, but the process is consistent: follow what’s interesting, build the story around it, and discover the language that makes it land.

As a creative director and writer, I’ve developed brand voices, digital content, scripts, campaigns, and experiential work for consumer, B2B, and cultural audiences. As a playwright and screenwriter, I create original stories shaped by history, place, politics, and the details that make them human.

About - Creative Excellence

Dolores Diaz-257 photoshop.jpg

I lead content and storytelling across brand, editorial, and artistic spaces—bringing together creative vision, language, and audience insight.

As a creative director, I’ve developed brand voices, digital content, campaigns, scripts, and messaging for clients across the energy, legal, technical, and cultural sectors. Through Chicago Editing, I carried projects from concept through execution, moving between creative direction, writing, editorial judgment, and production.

As a writer, my work has been staged everywhere from intimate theatres to Millennium Park’s Pritzker Pavilion, and produced and developed by major institutions including Goodman Theatre and TimeLine Theatre. I’ve collaborated with Grammy-nominated ensembles and multidisciplinary creative teams, creating layered storytelling that can live as comfortably in front of an audience as it does in a brand voice or campaign.

Whether writing for a stage or leading creative across channels, I bring a high bar for craft, an instinct for what's interesting, and the collaborative rigor to carry it through.
