Layher + NASCAR | Immersive Storytelling for a Live Event
Narrative & Editorial Strategy | Case Study + Event Video
When Layher needed to tell the story of their pedestrian bridge at the 2024 NASCAR Chicago Street Race, they asked me to help shape the narrative — not just what was built, but how it felt to move through it.
The Challenge
Following crowd control issues at the inaugural event, Layher was tasked with building a modular overpass to improve access between zones. The solution needed to be safe, fast, ADA-compliant — and clear enough to become a model for future events. My role was to tell that story in a way that made the stakes visible and the success tangible.
My Role
I wrote the case study and edited the promotional video, weaving available footage into a cohesive story. My narrative centered on movement, flow, and real-world stakes — structured around a problem/solution arc that emphasized foresight and trust. The edit leaned into immersive visuals, using drone footage and SIM modeling to simulate a walk-through experience.
The Outcome
The final piece is now a signature B2B marketing tool. It positions Layher as not just a supplier, but a creative partner in solving complex, live-event challenges.
